DONEGANS is not just a steakhouse but an occasion destination serving the very best steaks, chicken, veal, pork and fish money can buy accompanied by delicious sauces honed from years of professional training and experimentation with daily blackboard specials.
Donegan's also specialize in the famous, succulent, fresh CLYDE RIVER OYSTERS opened daily and served in 4 or 5 inventive ways.
A little history, the very colourful Irish brothers, Michael and Shay Donegan opened the Steakhouse on the 1st July 2004 as stand alone restaurant @ Araluen Motor Lodge.
Since then they've been finalists in the restaurant and catering awards for excellence each year and actually took out the big one the coveted BEST STEAKHOUSE award for southern NSW in July 2010.
The Donegan's previously operated the nearby multi award winning TALIVA RESTAURANT for 21 years which specialized in French influenced Australian contemporary cuisine and they bring this wealth of experience and knowledge to DONEGAN's Steakhouse.
In addition to the regular menu they offer 2 and 3 course special menus for all occasions including BIRTHDAYS, FAMILY REUNIONS, OFFICE PARTIES, CHRISTMAS PARTIES, CONFERENCE DINNERS, and indeed for any and all occasions.
The Donegan's present new menus each year for VALENTINE'S DAY, MOTHER'S DAY and ST. PATRICK'S DAY (which is a riot of IRISH JOKES, SINGING and DANCING).
Their TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH has been booked out since 1983.
For sit down parties such as weddings the steakhouse can seat 65 people comfortably.
