1. The Moruya Raiders: Nest Predators Revealed by Infra-red Movement Cameras.”
Michael and Sarah Guppy - This talk will describe Michael & Sarah's 6 year project to locate & monitor nest on their site near Moruya. This last season, they've installed InfraRed movement triggered technology to identify predators and the success has been exceptional. This talk should be a real "eye-opener" !
2. Acacia to Zieria – Trees of the NSW South Coast.” Kevin Mills, writer of Native Trees of NSW South Coast and Rainforests of the Illawarra will also give a talk about the native trees of the coast. Kevin will explain which trees are to be found in the region, identification of tree species and tree groups in addition to giving some observations about the more interesting aspects of our local trees.
Kevin will also be happy to identify any plant specimens, should you have a tree you would like to have identified and his books will also be for sale on the day.
Footnote From the ENHS Executive.
'Our afternoon of talks scheduled for March 2nd at the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens seems to be attracting quite a lot of interest.
When we organize such events, we extend an invitation to the friends of the gardens as well as other nature groups on the coast.
To ensure that all interested ENHS members are given priority, I would ask that you please RSVP as soon as possible and no later than Friday February 22.
