Fun things ToDo 2015 in Jervis Bay

At Jervis Bay/Huskisson you can often see humpback whales in the bay.  Hyams Beach is a beautiful secluded village, surrounded by natural forested land.
The sandy beaches around Jervis [pronounced Jarvis, by some of the locals] Bay are some of the whitest sand beaches 'down under'.

The Husky [Huskisson] pub is located adjacent to a long stretch of beach and since it overlooks the bay it's perfect for watching the sunset in the evenings. Rooms are compact but stylish, and some have a balcony.

Fun things ToDo 2015 in Broulee

Broulee Island Enviro Treasure Hunt is an activity to help kids [and adults] learn about the exciting wildlife in and around the rockpools of Broulee Island.

Nightime spotting wildlife tours are also on offer to reveal the nocturnal secrets of some of the Endangered Ecological Communities of the Coast.

Walk around Broulee Island, which has been declared a nature reserve by the National Parks And Wildlife Service. There are coastal banksias, casuarinas, coastal wattles, ruby saltbush, westringias and boobiallas on the cliffs, a grove of muttonwood trees on the heights overlooking the sand bar plus, in the shadier areas, lilli pilli, red olive plum, silkpod vines and sickle fern.
The island is joined to the mainland by a sandbar so is always accessible. Photographers will enjoy the ocean vistas across pristine rock-pools. The walk features a wonderful display of native plants including coastal banksias, casuarinas, coastal wattles, westringias, red olive plum and lillipilli. It's also a wonderful place for marine birdlife - including the superb fairy wren and white bellied sea eagle.

Length: 3.5 km
Time: 1 or 2 hours if you include the beach walk
Grade: Moderate
Access: South of the main beach at Broulee, across permanent sand bar.

Feed the Stingrays at Mossy Point
The Large Smooth Stingrays and the smaller Eagle Rays are common at the Mossy Point Boat Ramp feeding on the fisherman's scraps as they clean their daily catch, most days from 10am onwards.Click here to see them.

Walk to Camel Rock
Take a walk from the Mossy Point boat ramp, the site of the area's old Timber mill, out to Camel rock, exploring rock pools and the river mouth, a rail cart once carried the cut timber out to load the ships here.
