Explore our great unspoilt beaches by foot or along the network of cycle paths, mountain biking tracks and bush walking trails.
If you're an oyster lover, you'll be in 'seventh heaven' if you follow the trail of the Australia's Oyster Coast.
The oysters in this part of the world are notable because they are
grown in some of the cleanest waters in NSW, if not the world and the
predominant species being grown is the Sydney Rock Oyster. This means
that you will get to enjoy some of the most sensational tasting oysters
that you are likely to find, anywhere ! Click here to see how the oysters get to your restaurant.
You can take an oyster cruise with Captain Sponge's Magical Oyster cruises, at Pambula, or sample freshly shucked oysters at Bermagui, or at Cupitt's Winery, Milton, Quarterdeck restaurant in Narooma.
Dine at any of our wide ranging cuisine restaurants and indulge in some 'retail therapy' at the shops of Berry, Milton, Moruya, Mogo, Cobargo which are brimming with local produce. Sample fruit wine at Elysium Wines, near Mogo or chat to the local winemakers of the Shoalhaven region at their cellar door.
You can also visit Symbio Wildlife Park, just outside Wollongong, Shoalhaven Zoo and Adventure Park at Nowra, Birdland Animal Park, Batemans Bay or Poteroo Palace, Merimbula to see the full range of Australian Native wildlife.
For an insight into what's being done to help in the worldwide effort to protect our critically endangered species, visit the locally famous Mogo Zoo between Batemans Bay & Moruya. You can even experience many of the animals up close and personal, including feeding a white Lion at the Mogo Zoo.
House or Gulaga mountains, circumnavigate Broulee Island, feed the stingrays at
Mossy Point Boat-ramp or at Innes Boatshed, Batemans Bay and learn about
native flora in the Eurobodalla Regional botanic gardens.
