The South Coast of NSW is renowned for its golf courses, stunning beaches and its vast expanses of natural forest and bushland.

There are around 40 golf courses between the Southern edge of Sydney and the Victorian border, ranging from the pro championship 27 hole courses with pro shops and full service clubhouses... to the more social 9 hole and par 3 courses with a small and friendly country clubhouse.

From life-style courses to lush fairways cut through towering gum forests. Golf holes perched on cliff tops with exhilarating vistas across the ocean and back to the mountain ranges of the Great Divide, or positively scary holes where the fairway is just the foam of wave on rock. Play your round under the curious and watchful eye of the native wildlife.

There's something special about playing on new courses and there are plenty here to provide a great challenge. Our genuinely hospitable clubs welcome visitors and for much of the year you will find plenty of space on the course. It pays to check first, however, as many clubs conduct various festivals and special events in addition to regular competition days. Not all clubs cater exclusively for experienced players. There are plenty of courses which allow novices and families an opportunity to ease into this fascinating game without pressure.

After sliding the putter into the bag at the 18th you will find so much else to enjoy on your travels. Wineries, historic villages, pampering and wellness services, galleries and artists studios, fabulous surfing beaches, bush walking, cruise boats and fishing. There is great local produce with, naturally, an emphasis on seafood. Much of this at prices which city folk can only envy.

Narooma Golf Club;

Narooma's most famous six holes are perched high on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean while the back nine heads slightly inland to holes framed by tall timbers and meanders around a large lake that comes into play on six of the nine holes.
The 3rd hole, Hogan's Hole has been rated as one of Australia's most spectacular par-3s and the 20th best hole in NSW*.
