Mrs Rose Evans

by Rose Evans
(Mollymook)

My husband Neville and I were having our usual coffee at Dolphin Point, Burrill Lake at 6:45am Monday morning 20/4/2015 when we spotted 6 adult and one small baby black headed seagulls on the rocks amongst other common seagulls, we are not birdwatchers so we just thought they were a different seagull species. We went home to Mollymook, I googled the bird and we got so excited, I said, let's rush back down there with my iPad, hoping they would still be there, the tide had come in and they were gone. I will be taking my iPad out with me wherever I go from now on, hoping someone else gets to see them, especially because the sightings are rare. I hope they are there in the morning, Rose Evans.
