OAKS RANCH & COUNTRY CLUB
This unique Country Club features 600 acres of magnificent bushland with a wide variety of Australian animals. Oaks Ranch is bordered on one side by Candlagan Creek and on the other side by the Tomago River. It's a favorite spot for fishermen and offers a variety of water sports. Enjoy tennis, golf, horse riding, canoeing, fishing, bush walking, and swimming without leaving the resort!
The Oaks Ranch golf course opens for inhouse guests and the general public daily from dawn to dusk. The 9 hole course is challenging, 'full of character' and suitable for all levels. The 9 holes total 2,042 metres in length with a 35 par total, including par 4 & 5 holes.
The Oaks course has undergone numerous upgrades recently with new tees and added bunkers. These improvements, along with major renovations to the greens, and a couple of seasons of favorable weather conditions means that the course is in exceptional condition!
Smallish greens with undulating surrounds, provide a real test for the shot-maker and water hazards make life interesting on at least three of holes, with plenty of strategically placed bunkers spread around the course !
In fact, the 9th hole requires a long carry over the water just to reach the fairway. Once over the water and onto the fairway, you then need to stay clear of a huge fairway bunker extending the entire length of the fairway to the left. The 9th is notorious as the toughest hole at Oaks Ranch, especially while an easterly breeze is blowing!
Even for the non-golfer, the natural scenery around the course, with abundant wildlife and the resort facilities available within the Country Club provide a great day out for your whole group.
The staff at Oaks Ranch will make you welcome to come and inspect this unique and challenging facility.
Bookings are not vital but if you have a group please give us a call if you are interested in organising a special golfing day for a group. If required, the Oaks Ranch Bar can serve drinks and coffees to visitors as well as house guests and BBQ packages can also be arranged.
Located halfway between the coastal resort town of Batemans Bay and its countrified counterpart Moruya, Oaks Ranch and Country Club is the closest golf course to many popular tourist destinations such as Broulee Beach, Mogo Village, Mossy Point and Tomakin aka Sunpatch.
The Oaks Ranch and Country Club course is the home course for the Tomakin Sports and Social Club Golf Club.
Oaks Ranch is another hidden gem of the South Coast that is fast becoming re-nowned on the South Coast golfing map!
