Welcome to Country @ Monet’s

by Loretta Parsley

In the fabulous world of art the essence of creative spirits can determine imagination, direct experiences, remembered and intuitive learning.

The theme of this incredible art exhibition at Monet’s Cafe and Restaurant features that essence of Indigenous artists who bring to the exhibition their own identity and knowledge of the oldest living form of art.
The exhibition is called ’Welcome to Country’ and embraces all cultures sharing a love of art, space, time, food and music.
The artists featured are Loretta Parsley. Shanna Provost, Heather May, Georgina Parsons, Les Hood, Anthony McKnight and Cheryl Davison. They are a group of Indigenous artists who have a strong connection to the spirit of the land and sea.
The exhibition is at Monet’s Cafe & Restaurant on the Waterfront 2/5 Orient St Batemans Bay. The exhibition is proudly sponsored by local business man Bruce Carrick and owner of Monet’s Cafe & Restaurant.
The opening featured a Welcome to Country by Loretta Parsley, followed by a chant written and composed by Heather May and Marilyn Raven and a song sung by Shanna Provost.
We would like to invite all visitors to share in the experience of unique art, music and food.
If you are an Indigenous artist and would like to participate in future exhibitions, please contact Loretta Parsley on 4478 6068.
